Teaching at kindergartens, elementary, middle and high schools
Consists of delivering lessons during weekdays, during school hours, to teach children conversational English at different levels. Some schools will provide you with set curriculum and materials, while others will give you more freedom to develop your own material. Classes tend to be large, with 30-50 students, but don’t worry, you’ll have the assistance of a Chinese teacher, and Chinese students are very well behaved!

Universities offer English classes for their undergraduate students for whom, in most cases, an English credit is required for graduation. Classes take the form of lectures, and materials cover mostly conversational English; however, you might be teaching a specific English course or subject.
Private training centres and business centres
Private and business centres vary from small privately owned operations to large multinational corporations. They also vary in the type of students with some specializing in working with children and teens, while others focus on adults, offering business and conversational English courses. Working hours are mostly during afternoons and weekends, with teachers having mornings off and two days off in a row during the week. Materials are provided in some cases, while in others, teachers will be responsible for creating or customizing curriculum.
